Emily Morris, aged 35, was at the Countess of Chester Hospital with her newborn son Alvin while Lucy Letby was employed there as a nurse. Emily now recalls Letby’s behavior as “clingy” and claims that when she raised concerns about her conduct at the time, they were dismissed by the hospital staff.
Heart-Wrenching Details
Emily revealed that Letby was even with Alvin on the night before his tragic death in 2013. She asserts that she reported her anxieties about Letby to the hospital, but her concerns were allegedly ignored. Emily’s determination to uncover the truth intensified after coming across a ‘chilling’ picture of Alvin with Letby at his christening this week.
Demands for Reinvestigation
The police had previously informed Emily in 2018 that there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding Alvin’s death. However, following Lucy Letby’s recent murder conviction, Emily insists on a reevaluation of her baby’s case.
Emily, who resides in Deeside, Wales, stated, “Alvin died while she [Lucy] was looking after him. That’s why we think she did something – Alvin should still be alive.” She described Letby as “very clingy” and noted that Letby constantly sought to be around the babies.
A Shocking Murder Conviction
Lucy Letby was found guilty of murdering seven babies and attempting to kill six others at the Countess of Chester Hospital between June 2015 and June 2016. Alvin, born with muscular dystrophy, a condition characterized by progressive muscle weakening and wasting, had been making progress before his sudden death.

Emily remains adamant that there is more to her son’s death than meets the eye. She said, “He was a happy little baby, we found out he died after we walked into the room and they passed Alvin to me and said how he was already dead.” Emily found it incomprehensible that Letby could inflict harm on innocent infants.
A Disturbing Photograph
Emily discovered a picture from Alvin’s christening that depicted Lucy Letby assisting her in putting Alvin into his pram. Emily expressed her deep revulsion upon seeing the image, which has since gone viral. She remarked, “It’s really hard, to see a person who has done that to those babies next to you. It makes you sick.”
Hospital and Police Response
The hospital has declined to comment on the matter. Cheshire police have been contacted for a response to this request for reinvestigation.
