Britain denounces the Holocaust remarks made by the Palestinian President

In a stern response to recent comments made by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas regarding the Holocaust and antisemitism, Britain has joined international voices in condemning the remarks. The UK government issued a statement expressing its disapproval of President Abbas’s statements, emphasizing its commitment to countering Holocaust distortion and promoting reconciliation.

Strong Condemnation by the UK

A spokesperson from the British Foreign Office stated, “The latest antisemitic comments made by President Abbas are condemned by the UK. The UK vehemently opposes any efforts to embellish the Holocaust. Such statements do not help reconciliation efforts.”

International Outcry

The condemnation by Britain echoes the sentiments expressed by the United States and the European Union. President Abbas’s comments, which were delivered in late August during a meeting of his Fatah movement’s Revolutionary Council, have sparked international outrage.
